Yumura Onsen, which was first opened in the Heian Period, located in Hyogo-ken Mikata-gun Shinonsen-cho Ooaza quiet and historical onsen town surrounded by mountains.
Situated in the northwestern portion of Hyogo prefecture, on the San'in coastline, and bordering Tottori prefecture, Yumura Onsen is surrounded by nature. To the south there is the nationally designated Hyonosen-Ushiroyama-Nagisan Quasi-National park, several mountains centered around Mt. Ouginosen, the Ueyama-Hataganaru highlands, and hidden away by a young forest of Japanese beech and horse chestnut trees, Kirigatake falls and Komatagawa valley.
Access by Train

Using JR, take the train to JR Hamasaka Station. From Hamasaka station it takes approximately 30 minutes to get Yumura Onsen either by bus or taxi. The JR Rail Pass can be used up to Hamasaka Station

Express buses run from Osaka/Kobe and Yumura Onsen several times a day. The trip takes between 3-3.5 hours one-way

Access by Plane

There is a dir ct flight between Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport) and Tottori Airport, which is in the neighboring prefecture. From Tottori Airport it takes approximately 45 minutes to reach Yumura Onsen by bus or train.

Access from Tottori Airport

You can access Yumura Onsen from Tottori Airport either by rental car or by taking a shuttle bus from Tottori airport to JR Tottori Station, and then catching the train.
*The bus departure schedule will match arrival times of flights, in case of any changes.

From TOTTORI JR STATION

Sanin Main Line Local Train The approximate time needed is 44 minutes. Between 6:00 and 21:42, there is about one train every hour.

Access from Kansai International Airport
JR Kansai Airport Station About 1 hour JR OSAKA STATION
From Osaka Station please use either the train or the bus.

1. From Kansai Airport, JR express trains (Haruka) and airport rapid service trains (Kanku-kaisoku) are convenient to access to JR Osaka Station directly.
2. From JR Osaka Station, you can get to Hamasaka on the JR express train bound for Hamasaka or the express bus (reservation required).
